Barrhead Foundry has added new weekly Spin, Functional, BOLT, Step Aerobics and Circuits classes to its extensive timetable. Eastwood High Sport Centre will welcome new weekly Body Balance and Body Pump classes, while Eastwood Park Leisure's timetable is enhanced with the addition of new Body Pump classes.
Eastwood Park Leisure Centre showcased new classes and welcomed fitness fans along to a Les Mills launch night, featuring back-to-back fitness classes and new routines for Body Combat, Body Pump, Body Attack, Core and Body Balance.
Speaking at the launch, fitness instructor Louise Lighbody, said: “Why don't you kick start your new year and get into a new habit and routine this January? We've got amazing instructors. Everyone has their own goals - come along, have fun and get fit in 2024!”
Instructor Sara McMahon, who has been hosting Body Pump classes for almost twenty five years, hosts the new Body Pump class at Eastwood Park Leisure on Thursday evenings. She said: “There are so many benefits to attending Body Pump - such as stronger muscles and tendons around your joints. You can go light and use it for conditioning or put heavier weights on for real strength. Come along and try it!”
East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure's fitness membership includes four gyms, three swimming pools and over 100 fitness classes per week.
Kenny McDonnell from East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure said: “January is a popular time for people to set their fitness goals, so we're pleased to add to our extensive timetable across our venues to support East Renfrewshire residents with their fitness aims for 2024.
“Getting stronger is now recommended as one of the main things that people looking to get fitter should focus on as it comes with so many benefits. Besides the obvious ones like being able to perform daily tasks more easily and changing your shape, it is an excellent way of improving your mental health and risks for all major health problems, such as osteoporosis.
“We have an exceptional team of gym and fitness instructors on hand, offering advice, motivation and expertise to ensure you make the most of your fitness membership and support you in reaching your targets.”
New fitness members can join for just £1 in January, with no joining fees on East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure's 12 month membership. Find out more: www.ercultureandleisure.org
