From drama courses to sports and activity camps, swimming lessons and even a Learn to Dive programme, there is something for everyone.
The holiday programme is available from 4 July to 12 August and takes place at various venues across East Renfrewshire.
Anthony McReavy from East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure said: “Our holiday programme is back to full strength this year and our staff can't wait to welcome everyone along.
“We are bringing back popular camps including Time Travellers arts and drama camp and Play in a Week drama camps, as well as Sports and Activity Camps and lots of water activities, including intensive swimming lessons and learn to dive lessons.
“The camps and classes are sure to keep the kids entertained as they learn skills and make new friends. Early booking is advisable as places are expected to fill up quickly so book now to secure your space.”
East Renfrewshire libraries are also celebrating a summer of fun, with the 2022 'Gadgeteers' Summer Reading Challenge. Celebrating the key role of the imagination in both reading and the sciences, the Summer Reading Challenge will launch on 25 June with STEM events.
Scott Simpson, Head of Libraries and Information Services at East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure, added: “Developed in partnership with the Science Museum Group, the 2022 Summer Reading Challenge will show children that science is around us every day and inspire them to unleash their curiosity and creativity.
“Our challenge will be set in a fictional summer holiday club where our young innovators, or 'Gadgeteers', will come together to use creative thinking and teamwork to plan the best ever party for the town's celebratory summer fair. Challenge participants will meet six fun characters and help them come up with inventions for the summer party. They will be introduced to many aspects of science engagement, including food, fashion, music and sport - something for everyone to enjoy!”
