Phased reopening commences of East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure venues
East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure welcomed new and existing customers back to its two biggest leisure centres yesterday, as part of phased reopening plans.

Gym facilities at Barrhead Foundry and Eastwood Park Leisure are now available with enhanced cleaning, safety and social distance measures in place.
Swimming pools at the venues will be available from 3 May, along with Neilston Leisure Centre's gym and swimming pool.
Outdoor sports classes for children are available to book online now, with classes starting on 4 May, while swimming lessons will also commence in the coming weeks.
East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure's Chief Executive Anthony McReavy said: “We're delighted to reopen our doors and welcome new and familiar faces alike to our venues.
“The safety and wellbeing of our customers and staff continues to be our priority and social distancing and cleanliness measures will be in place across all of our venues and facilities.
“We are preparing our community halls and remaining facilities to welcome back customers as soon as possible, in line with the latest guidance. I want to thank all of our customers and staff for their continued support and patience during this time. We look forward to seeing everyone again very soon.”
In line with Government guidance, indoor fitness classes are expected to be available from 17 May. East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure continues to offer outdoor fitness classes, which take place at various locations across East Renfrewshire.
The charity Trust has also pledged to continue its free online fitness classes, as part of its commitment to support the community's health and wellbeing during the pandemic.
All gym sessions are Pay As You Go and can be booked and paid for up to seven days in advance, via East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure's booking app. East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure's reopening information is available here and will be updated with further dates and details once available.
