East Renfrewshire HSCP makes fresh appeal for foster carers
This Foster Care Fortnight (11-24 May), East Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) is urging people who live in and around the area, to consider fostering.

Foster care comes in many forms - respite, short term, weekend care, long-term, permanent – and the HSCP is keen to hear from people who would be interested in any of these arrangements.
Lockdown has highlighted the particular need new carers to care for children who need to live away from their family homes in these difficult times. It take all kinds of people to care for children, so if you think you give children a loving home we want to hear from you.
Kate Rocks, Chief Social Work Officer for East Renfrewshire, said: “Like the amazing children and young people we support, every foster care placement is unique. Some families are able to provide permanent care while others commit to weekend respite placements to fit around their careers and their own family circumstances.
“All placements provide stability, support, contribute to the long term well-being of our care experienced children and are incredibly rewarding.
“Our social workers will support you every step of the way, so if you would like to do something amazing and life changing, get in touch with us.”
