Over twenty productions will take to the stage during the autumn and winter season, from music and murder mystery to sports shows and comedy, with plenty of drama, dance and kids’ entertainment in between.
Anthony McReavy from East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure said: “Our 2018 programme has been one of our most successful to date and the second half of the year will bring a whole host of diverse entertainment to the local area.
“We are delighted that Scottish Opera has chosen to launch its new tour at Eastwood Park Theatre during our forthcoming season, with Opera Highlights, which features a full repertoire of classics delivered by professional opera singers, accompanied by an accomplished pianist.
“We are launching a brand new series, In Conversation With, which will feature a host of well-known faces, kicking off with football commentator and presenter Archie MacPherson, plus we are bringing back sell-out show Lions of Lisbon for its second consecutive year due to popular demand. Sports fans will also love Ventoux, which brings the story of the famous drug fuelled Tour de France race to the stage.
“Meanwhile, murder mystery entertainment evening Momento Mori being brought to life by Can You Catch the Killer? during our Dead Good October season plus we have several tribute nights, from Johnny Cash to Frank Sinatra and The Bee Gees and we’ll be swinging by the sixties with special music night straight from the west end, Twist and Shout.
“We will be rounding off the year with a fun and family-friendly Christmas show that has been created exclusively for Eastwood Park Theatre in its 45th anniversary year, Jack and the Beanstalk 2: Revenge of the Farmer.”
Families are catered for throughout the autumn season, with kids’ shows including The MacDougalls’ Treasure Hunt, Four go Wild in Wellies and Little Red Riding Hood taking the audience on a magical theatrical journey.
