Free summer holiday swimming for children in East Renfrewshire pools
Children aged 16 and under can swim free of charge in local pools this summer!

Free fun swimming sessions are being run in East Renfrewshire Council pools throughout the school holidays.
East Renfrewshire youngsters aged 16 years and under can take part in the free junior swimming sessions seven days a week.
The council’s pools are at Eastwood Park Leisure in Giffnock, Barrhead Sports Centre, and the new Eastwood High Sports Centre in Newton Mearns.
Free swim sessions for all three pools are 10am to noon and 2 to 4pm Monday to Friday, plus all day Saturday and Sunday.
Eastwood High Sports Centre is usually available to the public outwith school hours but in the school holidays is open Monday to Friday 9am to 9pm and Saturday and Sundays 9am to 5pm. The new centre opens its doors for the first time on 1 July.
Convener for community services and community safety, Councillor Mary Montague, said: “We’re delighted to be offering free swimming sessions again to our younger residents.
“Our swimming pools are excellent so it would be great to see children making full use of them.
“It’s so important to give our young people encouragement to lead active lives and this is part of that.
"So go on, have a splashing time!"
