Monday
Giffnock Community Walk - Giffnock Jaunt
10am - Moderate level - Outside Lidl, Fenwick Road
This walk is for people who wish to walk within streets and pavements around Giffnock at a moderate pace for up to an hour. Walkers usually go to Ca Va Bar & Brasserie after the walk for refreshments and a chat.
Mearns Community Walk - The Mearns Social Saunter
10am - Beginner level - Corner of Broomburn Medical Centre
Two walks are offered: A low level walk for people looking to start some form of gentle exercise for 30 minutes and a longer walk with a little bit more of a challenge for those who feel able up to 50 minutes. Walkers usually head to a local cafe for a chat.
Tuesday
Eastwood Community Walk - First Steps Eastwood Park
9:30am - Beginner level - outside Eastwood Leisure Centre
Join our friendly community health walk for a chance to enjoy gentle exercise, meet new people, and socialise in a relaxed atmosphere. It's a great way to stay active, chat with others, and explore the outdoors together. The walk takes up to 50 minutes with walkers going for tea & coffee afterwards in the cafe at the leisure centre.
Auchenback
10am - Beginner level - Outside the Auchenback Resource Centre
A moderate walk for people looking to take part in gentle exercise, meet new people and enjoy the outdoors. The walk lasts around an hour with walkers meeting back at the ARC for drinks and a chat.
Wednesday
Barrhead Community Walk & Roll
11am - All abilities walking & wheelie group - Carpark entrance of the Cowan Park
Join our inclusive Walking & Wheeling Group, open to all. Whether you're walking, using a wheelchair, or any mobility aid, this group promotes community, health, and outdoor fun in a supportive and accessible environment. Come for a drink and chat at the cafe afterwards!
Crookfur Community Walk
10am - Beginner level - Newton Mearns Baptist Church
This walk is for people looking to start some form of gentle exercise, meet new people & enjoy the outdoors. Cake and tea provided at the church afterwards for a small donation.
Friday
Clarkston Community Walk
1pm - Beginner level - Outside of the Eastwood Health and Care Centre
Enjoy fresh air, meeting new people and delight in a 40-60 minute walk over pathways and pavements locally. Stay afterwards for a warm drink and a chat!
Rouken Glen Community Walk
10am - Beginner level - Outside the Rouken Glen Garden Centre
A healthy walk in the beautiful surroundings of Rouken Glen Park to start off your weekend. Meet up outside of Rouken Glen Garden Centre at 10 AM with walkers heading back to the cafe afterwards for refreshments and a catch up.
