Join us to plant native broadleaf trees in Broom Park. Over two sessions we will be planting 400 trees!
The morning will be spent planting trees, and in the afternoon we will do a Tree ID session. Find out how to identify your local trees in winter. This is an informal, fun and free workshop that aims to increase your understanding of local species and improve your ability to identify them. This workshop is aimed at complete beginners, so don't worry if you're completely new to identifying trees.
This is part of a project in partnership with East Renfrewshire Council to plant 10,000 trees across the council district by the end of March 2025.
Tools and training will be provided. No experience required.
Bring warm, waterproof clothes and sturdy footwear.
Please bring your own lunch, tea and coffee will be provided.
Meet at the Broom Park car park.
Under 18s are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
