Led by Work EastRen, the Council’s employability service, employers signed up so far cover a variety of industries including construction, retail, hospitality and care and contract and permanent job vacancies will be available.

The fair is taking place on Monday 2 September from 3.00pm until 6.00pm on the first floor of the Barrhead Foundry. As well as employers, Work EastRen will have staff available who can offer advice and support on applying for jobs, tips for interviews, help with CVs, training opportunities and much more.

Councillor Danny Devlin, Convener for Environment and Housing, said: “If you’re looking for work or your next role, this event will be a fantastic opportunity to not only speak with local employers, but also get some tips from Work EastRen staff on how to secure your job. We’ve got a great range of employers coming along, so I’d encourage anyone who can, to head along to the Foundry.”
