Returning just in time for the summer holidays, the X7 M&D’s Express service connecting Buchanan Bus Station and Scotland’s much-loved theme park will operate daily from Saturday 29 June until Wednesday 7 August.
Customers can jump on board the direct express bus service from stance 17 at Buchanan Bus Station and reach the theme park in just 20 minutes.
Theme park lovers need to purchase a special M&D’s Day Ticket which will only be valid on the X7 service and will be available to purchase on-board the X7 and on regular First Glasgow services. It will cost just £6 for children and £8 for adults and customers will be able to connect to the X7 M&D’s Express from First bus services across Greater Glasgow at no extra cost.
What’s more, when visitors arrive at M&D’s and present their X7 M&D’s Day Ticket at the ticket office, they will receive £4 off their ride all day wristband.
Entry to M&D’s is free for everyone and, with more than 40 major rides and attractions, the theme park has something for the whole family including the High Diving Pirates who will be performing their 80ft stunts and acrobatics on selected dates throughout the summer.
In addition to the theme park, families can enjoy a host of additional activities at M&D’s including a visit to Amazonia, Scotland’s only indoor tropical rainforest, which is home to a variety of wildlife.
With glow-in-the-dark ten pin bowling at Cosmic Bowl, 18-hole mini adventure golf at Devil’s Island Golf, Krazy Congo soft play area, indoor amusement arcade Game Zone as well as several bars and restaurants including the Family Restaurant, Guiseppe’s Coffee Shop and InsideOut Bar serving up delicious menus there is lots to keep families busy this year.
Matthew Taylor, Managing Director of M&D’s Theme Park, said: “We are delighted that First is running the X7 in time for the summer holidays. The M&D’s Express is a fantastic idea giving those who couldn’t access us before a direct route to sample our rides and attractions during the summer months.”
Graeme Macfarlan, Commercial Director for First Glasgow, said: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with Scotland’s Theme Park, M&D’s, to provide a fast and frequent service from Glasgow City Centre to the park.
“M&D’s is a great day out for all the family and so we look forward to welcoming them on board our service for an exclusive discount at the park and great value for money connection to one of the key visitor attractions.”
