The Giffnock venue will host a special day packed with free creative workshops and events, run by East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure on Saturday 18 May.
Activities include Photography in the Park, Watercolour, Jewellery Workshops, Tote Bag Workshop and Physical Theatre. There will also be a Painting in the Park session, where participants will meet at Eastwood House and head outdoors to create a beautiful landscape masterpiece.
The BBC Get Creative Festival runs from 11-19 May 2019 and aims to shine a light on the great cultural activities available and encourage participation.
Anthony McReavy from East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure said: “We are delighted to host some fantastic, free sessions as part of the Get Creative festival and would love to see participants getting involved, being creative and having lots of fun at the same time.
“The workshops and classes we are running offer something for all ages, just as our term time class programme does. We have Animation in an Hour, which is suitable for ages 8-12 year olds, who will create a stop-motion animation on iPads and Family Crafts for pre-school aged children to come along with an adult and join in some messy, creative fun.
“The events are a great way of trying something new, finding a new hobby or just having some fun.”
Get Creative had over 1,400 events across the UK during the 2018 festival and hope to attract more participants this year to celebrate and showcase creativity in the community.
Spaces on the workshops are limited and must be booked in advance.
