You can join swimming lessons at Eastwood Park Leisure, Eastwood High Sports Centre and Neilston Leisure, as well as the newly refurbished Barrhead Foundry swimming pool, set to reopen in early September 2018.
Each pool has a dedicated timetable, from Little Splashers’ confidence building classes for parents to attend with their babies and toddlers right through to advanced classes to teach good technique for swimming longer distances.
Swimming manager Karen Baxter from East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure said: “With the new school routine taking shape, it's the perfect time to get your kids signed up for swimming lessons.
“They might have enjoyed splashing around the pool during summer holidays and you're keen to make sure they are able to swim with more confidence and technique next year - making a more relaxing holiday for everyone.
“Swimming is an essential life skill and our Learn 2 Swim programme has taught thousands of people.
“We have a variety of classes at our different swimming pools, for children of in every age group. We have small class sizes so we can concentrate on helping everyone realise their full potential in the water. And with an online portal, you can track your child’s progress through the levels.
“We also have disability swimming lessons available for children with either a physical or learning disability or sensory impairment.”
Learn 2 Swim Group lessons for children are priced at £5.30 per session, booked in blocks of ten sessions.
