East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure is offering the opportunity for secondary school pupils to become Arts Ambassadors for the area. The chosen applicants will be invited to represent ERCL at events, attend performances and workshops and expand their knowledge of art and drama.
The deadline for applications is this Friday 15 June.
Anthony McReavy from East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure explained: “Two Arts Ambassadors will be selected from each secondary school in East Renfrewshire; one for Visual Arts and one for Performing Arts.
“Ambassadors can be in S1-S6 with an interest in arts and drama, although you don’t have to study Art and Design or Drama to apply.
“This is a great opportunity for secondary pupils to get involved and support the arts in their local area, as well as aiding their own personal development.”
Arts Ambassadors will attend one training session and four meetings over the course of the school year at East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure’s offices at St John’s Campus in Barrhead. Transport can be arranged to help pupils attend the meetings.
To become an Arts Ambassador, request a form by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or ask your Art & Design or Drama teacher for an application. Select whether you are applying for Visual or Performing Arts. The final panel of Ambassadors will reflect a range of ages and interests.
Completed applications should be emailed to email@example.com.
