At our boutique hotel you’ll find contemporary yet cosy rooms with complimentary drinks, free WiFi and free local calls as well as Windows a unique rooftop restaurant and Executive Lounge.

Business and leisure travellers alike will enjoy the service and hospitality we provide at the four star Carlton George hotel, which includes a complimentary Minibar and decanted spirits in your room, free WiFi for the duration of your stay, free local calls and full Scottish breakfast.

We also boast Glasgow’s only rooftop restaurant - Windows serves an array of delicious dishes all created with only the finest local produce with frequently changing menus to reflect what’s in season. In fact, the only thing that comes close to beating the food is the view!

Choose an Executive or Club room to enjoy complimentary soft drinks, snacks and coffee throughout the day, and complimentary wine, beer and selected spirits each evening in the exclusive Executive Lounge located on the 7th floor.

Windows Restaurant

Located on the 7th floor of the Carlton George Hotel, Windows is the only rooftop restaurant in Glasgow. Enjoy Afternoon Tea from just £10, a Pre-Theatre meal before a show, or dinner with a glass of wine or two while taking in the view over the rooftops and chimney pots of the city.

Our head chef and his team create a variety of delicious dishes using fine, locally sourced ingredients, and change the menus frequently to utilise what’s in season.

Waxy O'Connor's

Waxy O’Connor’s Irish themed bar is located on the ground and basement levels of the hotel and features nine areas with six bars spread over three floors - it has to be seen to be believed! You'll find a mix of Scottish and Irish patrons enjoying the good food, wide selection of drinks and great craic!

As well as the large selection of drinks they offer, including a selection of Whiskies and of course Guinness, Waxy’s serves a Scottish and Irish inspired menu daily until 9pm which includes such treats as oysters, steak and haggis.

Waxy’s is a favourite stopping place for Glasgow locals and visitors alike, helped by the live music they often host, and sports on big screens including rugby and football.

Hotel guests can access Waxy O’Connor’s through a connecting door to the rear of Reception - why not go and explore?
