No More Deathly Silences

Would you like to feel more empowered to start difficult conversations around death dying and bereavement? Come along to the 'No more deathly silences' event at Eastwood House on September 24th.

No More Deathly Silences

About No More Deathly Silences

In the modern world, the subject of death has become almost taboo and therefore it can be uncomfortable to broach a conversation about it.

Unfortunately, not talking about death-related topics can lead to a lack of knowledge and awareness around the options available which can mean that, when a death occurs, sometimes people make decisions in a stressed state that may then impact them adversely, either financially or emotionally – or both.

Planning ahead though, or at least thinking ahead and discussing things in advance, can be really useful because when ‘the inevitable’ happens, people can then make more informed choices - whether that’s about end of life care or funeral arrangements.

So while talking about dying, death and bereavement may never be ‘dead easy’, increasing your knowledge and awareness in this area will enable you to approach those difficult conversations with more confidence.

The event will be facilitated by Stephanie Hutchinson, Community Engagement Officer (death, dying & bereavement) for Community Renewal & Caledonia Cremation.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for No More Deathly Silences are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
