This mini retreat is designed to open up our awareness of our body, mind and selves, and immerse into our present moment experience. Sessions are suitable for anyone who is looking to engage in meditation and mindfulness, and who wishes to spend a little time out their busy weeks opening up their awareness to the here and now.
Practicing mindfulness meditations can be extremely beneficial in reducing stress, building resilience, and gaining a sense of balance.
What to expect?
• A very short introduction to mindfulness meditation
• Practicing a variety of meditations, mindful movements, tea and stillness for the afternoon retreat
• Embracing periods of quite to savour the present moment and focus
• Meeting like-minded people and practicing mindfulness together
I’ll be there from 12 noon to set up and the mini-retreat will begin at 12:30pm. The venue is Young Enterprise Scotland and the retreat will be taking place in doors (with central heating!) with aspects of movement done outdoors weather permitting!

Why is this event free? (other than booking fee)
This workshop is part of the Knows No Bounds social enterprise initiative and runs on a Pay It Forward System.
Your place has been paid for by someone who’s taking part in a previous session
To book your place, all you need to pay is a small booking fee
There’s an opportunity for you to donate money on the day in cash into a donation box
This is to ‘pay it forward’ to someone else - give them the opportunity to take part in future
This will allow the event to go to other areas and spread this further and wider
The amount is up to you – please pay what you can, and what you are able to.
A recommended amount is £20.00, but for guidance only – more or less is fine.

Who is this session suitable for?
Sessions are suitable for anyone who is looking to practice meditation and mindfulness, and all are welcome. If you’re completely new to mindfulness/meditation and are unsure, or you have been struggling with mental health recently, give me a call and discuss the session to ensure it's right for you.
What do I need to bring with me?
I'll be bringing a selection of yoga mats, blankets and cushions with me, but if you have your own that you'd prefer to use, please bring these with you.
Do I need to print my ticket?
No, you won't need your ticket, I'll have a list of names on the day.
