Sessions are available at Barrhead Foundry, Clarkston, Giffnock and Mearns Library.

Book a digital skills information session with our friendly advisors to find out what’s on offer. In your 20-30 minute individual appointment, we will find the right class for you.

Downloading Digital Magazines
Read your favourite UK magazines for free on your tablet anywhere. Learn how to download, access and explore a range of magazines. You must bring your own tablet.

Downloading eBooks & eAudiobooks
Learn how to download eBooks and eAudiobooks. Read or listen to your choice of books. Manage your library account online: borrow, reserve or extend your borrowed books. You must bring your own tablet.

Get Connected: iPad and Android tablets
Learn how to connect to the internet using East Renfrewshire Libraries' free Wi-Fi and browse the internet on your own Apple iPad or Android tablet. We can provide an iPad or tablet if you don't have one.

Snap ‘n’ Share
Learn how to snap photos with your tablet and share them by email. You must bring your own tablet (Android, iPad, other), have an e-mail address and a mobile phone.

Tap ‘n’ Talk: Skype
Would you like to keep in touch with family and friends who may be far away? Bring your tablet and have fun learning how to download, register and use Skype to make and receive video calls. You must bring your own tablet (Android, iPad, other), have an e-mail address and a mobile phone.

Not sure which type of tablet to buy, or what the difference is between them all? We have Apple iPads and Android tablets for you to try, as well as valuable advice on important things to consider before purchasing. Come along, have a go and see for yourself.
