About Family Films at Eastwood Park Theatre
Sunday 24 September: Finding Dory
Dory is a wide-eyed, blue tang fish who suffers from memory loss every 10 seconds or so. The one thing she can remember is that she somehow became separated from her parents as a child. With help from her friends Nemo and Marlin, Dory embarks on an epic adventure to find them. Her journey brings her to the Marine Life Institute, a conservatory that houses diverse ocean species.
Sunday 1 October: Zootropolis
The city of Zootopia has long been one where animals of all shapes and sizes have lived in harmony together. But when rabbit Judy Hopps joins the police force, she quickly realises that maintaining law and order on these streets is not as easy as it seems. When an otter goes missing in mysterious circumstances, Judy jumps at the opportunity to prove herself and help make a difference. Her suspicion quickly falls on wily fox Nick Wilde, a fugitive on the run. But things get really hairy when they each discover that they are the targets of a larger conspiracy, forcing the unlikely pair to team up and gradually discover that even natural enemies can become best friends. This really wild adventure combines all of Disney's stunning animation, memorable characters and heartfelt messages into one hilarious and colourful treat.
Suitable for age 6+
Tuesday 31 October: Monsters Inc
Join the lovable, confident, tough, furry, blue giant monster named Sulley and his wisecracking best friend, short, green cyclops monster Mike as they discover what happens when the real world interacts with theirs in the form of a 2-year-old baby girl dubbed "Boo," who accidentally sneaks into the monster world with Sulley one night. And now it's up to Sulley and Mike to send Boo back in her door before anybody finds out, especially two evil villains such as Sulley's main rival as a scarer, chameleon-like Randall (a monster that Boo is very afraid of), who possesses the ability to change the colour of his skin, and Mike and Sulley's boss Mr. Waternoose, the chairman and chief executive officer of Monsters, Inc.
Sunday 12 November: Trolls
This holiday season, enter a colourful, wondrous world populated by hilariously unforgettable characters and discover the story of the overly optimistic Trolls, with a constant song on their lips, and the comically pessimistic Bergens, who are only happy when they have trolls in their stomach. Featuring original music from Justin Timberlake, TROLLS is a fresh, broad comedy filled with music, heart and hair-raising adventures.
