Have you ever thought about what you might do if your dog or a dog in your care was suddenly involved in an accident or became seriously ill?
It’s an uncomfortable truth that 80% of seriously injured dogs will die before reaching veterinary care. Why such a high percentage? The reason is that unlike as is the case with ill or injured humans, dogs have no ambulance or paramedic available to give the much-needed pre-veterinary emergency trauma care. Nine times out of ten you are on your own.
It’s for this reason that we at Archangel Training are so passionate about our Canine First Aid Course. We believe that anyone who is involved with dogs, in any capacity, should have a working knowledge of what to do in an emergency. Picking the dog up and driving to the Vet won’t always be an option, even if it is, how do you move the dog without causing further injury?
This course has developed over many years, from a three-hour session, to a full days training. The content of this course is the result of a collaboration of expertise and practical solutions we have gained from vets, canine professionals and from the feedback we have received from our clients. Not to mention 27 years experience a s an operational firefighter. All of these resources have been used to provide a unique learning experience for our students. We are also delighted to announce that on completion of the training students will be able to claim four hours CPD credit for their professional portfolio. In addition all students will receive a free Pet First Aid manual, which is a fantastic resource, and ongoing online support for the duration of their qualification, which is three years.
From the research we have carried out and from the feedback we have received we are confident that there is no other course available anywhere in the UK which provides the same level of detail and provides the value for money as this training course.
